Concert for St Cecilia
Saturday 21st November 7.30pm
St Martin’s Church, Brasted
Organist: Alex Trigg
Our next concert will celebrate St Cecilia, patron saint of music, through a specially chosen programme of English choral masterpieces. Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music offers a radiant and deeply lyrical tribute to the power of music, while Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens brings grandeur and exhilaration in one of the great landmarks of the English choral tradition. With Britten’s vibrant Hymn to St Cecilia, Howells’ reflective A Hymn for St Cecilia and Rose’s joyful Feast Song for St Cecilia, the programme promises an evening of richly varied, beautiful and rewarding music.
Tickets will be available here as well as from Sevenoaks Bookshop and members of the choir.
