Saturday 14th December at 7.30pm at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Tonbridge.
Cantate are once again joined by their sister ensemble Vivace! to perform the first half of Bach’s great setting of the Christmas story. The first three Cantatas take us from the announcement and birth of the Christ-child, to the shepherds going to Bethlehem to visit the stable. Masterful story-telling and joyous choral music make this a wonderful way to start the Christmas season.
For this special concert, Cantate is delighted to welcome back Gwen Martin (soprano) and Nick Pritchard (tenor), and to work with Natalie Davies (mezzo-soprano) and Cheyney Kent (baritone) for the first time. The period instrument ensemble Vivace! is led by Hazel Brooks.
We invite you to join Cantate for a glittering retelling of the Christmas story in the beautiful surroundings of St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Tonbridge.
